Pulp Mill Shift Supervisor

Chattanooga, TN

This is a full time, exempt position.

The position will require the use of experience and judgment in a hands on approach to leading the daily activities of hourly personnel in a cotton linter pulp mill. Job duties include but are not limited to: product quality assurance, promoting team work in a challenging production environment, process and equipment troubleshooting, enforcement of plant policies and rules, and maintaining a safe work environment. Mechanical aptitude and some maintenance experience is a strong plus.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or its equivalent with some background in basic chemistry. 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role is a plus. Basic computer knowledge is helpful. Prompt attendance is a must. The applicant must have the ability to climb stairs, lift 50 lbs, sit and stand for long periods of time, work at heights and be able to bend and kneel. The plant operates on a 24 hour 7 day schedule and shifts are scheduled accordingly. The candidate must be able to work in variety of environmental conditions.
